Stylish and abstract exhibition poster by the Canadian artist Jean-Paul Riopelle!
The poster was made to promote an exhibition with works by Riopelle at Galerie Maeght in Paris in 1974.
The artwork on the poster is called "Affiche avant la lettre or Poster before the letter.
Jean-Paul Riopelle (1923-2002) was a painter and sculptor from Quebec, Canada. He is one of the most famous painters from Canada and is mainly known for his abstract painting style as seen on this poster.
The first Galerie Maeght opened in Cannes in 1936 and later the Paris gallery opened in 1946s. Some of the most famous international artist has been on display in the galleries and remain to this day among the most prestigious artist platforms.
