Magnificent abstract artwork by Joan Miro!
The exhibition was set up in Musée d'art Moderne de la Ville Parie in 1974.
Joan Miro (1893-1983) was a Catalan painter whose surrealist works are some of the most original of the 20th century. He is mainly known for playfully distorted animal forms, twisted organic shapes and odd geometric constructions in public places - for example his ceramic walls the UNESCO building in Paris and the Wilhelm-Hack-Museum in Ludwigshafen. Miro also created several monumental sculptures which is erected among other places in Barcelona and Chicago.
