One marvelous and colorful exhibition lithography made by the Austrian Friedensreich Hundertwasser!
The poster was made to promote an exhibition in Munich (Germany) at the Galerie Dorothea Leonhart.
The artwork on the poster is called "Good-bye From Africa" or "Addio Dall'Africa" and was designed in 1967.
As an artist Hundertwasser stands out as an opponent of "a straight line" and standardization which resulted in very colorful, organic and hand-drawn lines. Hundertwasser is perhaps best known for his decorations on KunstHausWien in Vienna (Austria) which hosts the largest collection of Hundertwasser's works. The 1892 house on the poster was re-designed by Hundertwasser in 1989-91 and stands out in the Viennese cityscape with its fairy tale shapes, creative colors and ingenuous little details.
If you are familiar with the works of Hundertwasser you probably know that this is a striking and hard-to-find poster.
Thanks for watching and please let me know if you have any questions.
