A truly great poster advertising the Expo '92 in Seville, Spain.
The poster displays a statue symbolising "faith" which stands on top of the infamous Giralda Tower in Sevilla. The statue is surrounded by fireworks, flags from many countries and in the bottom is a prospect of the beautiful skyline.
In 1992 it was the 500th anniversary of the discovery of the Americas by Christopher Columbus (1492-1992) and thus the theme was organized to celebrate was "The Age of Discovery". Over 100 countries were represented and the total number of visitors was more than 40.000.000.
Various countries had pavilions including Russia, USA, Japan, India, Australia, China, Canada and a common pavilion shared by countries of The Europe Union. Many of the pavilion was focused on space programs - symbolizing the modern "Age of Discovery" but many pavilions were also dedicated to show of different landmarks, artworks and cultural representations from each country.
