A great fashion exhibition poster with design by the Danish recognized fashion designer, Erik Mortensen (1926-1998).
Erik Mortensen knew from an early age that he wanted to be a designer, and as a 15-year-old he learned from the Danish Holger Blom , where he received a basic education as a designer. In 1948 he went to Paris to learn more in the fashion house Balmain. In 1982 he became lead designer of the house and ten years later Mortensen became the head of the fashion house Jean-Louis Scherrer.
The costume design on the poster seems to be for "Don Giovanni" which could be the opera by Mozart. However, the poster was made to promote an exhibition in Copenhagen (Denmark) with works by Erik Mortensen. The exhibition was called "A Dane in Paris" which seems quite fitting.
