A cool poster encouraging people to visit the 100th year anniversary exhibition with designs by the Danish author, architect and critic Poul Henningsen (1894-1967). In Denmark Poul Henningsen is often referred to as "PH" which is seen on the poster.
The poster features two lamps by PH. The lamps are known as "Desk Lamp" and was designed in 1941. The lampshade has also been used on other types of lamps designed by Poul Henningsen.
One of the main ideas behind his lamps is to avoid people getting blinded from the light bulb and to create a various light reflections. These methods was based on a system where the PH's lamps have many screens. The screen system was developed based on mathematical calculations of how light is reflected.
The PH exhibition was held in Kunstindustrimuseet (now: Danish Museum of Art & Design) which is located in Copenhagen, Denmark.
