A really nice original and naughty political cabaret poster!
The poster was made to promote a cabaret called "Smæk for Skillingen" which can be translated into "A Slap for the Dime" meaning plenty of what you expect. But the Danish meaning could also be understood with a naughty undertone.
The cabaret was made by the Danish political theater group called Solvognen (The Sun Chariot).
Solvognen was founded in 1969 and was dissolved again in 1982 and made several political happenings and performances. One happening (my mother told me about) was the performance called "Army of Santa Clauses". One day in December 1974 Christmas an "army" dressed up as Santa Clauses appeared in high-end shopping centers and handed out gifts from the shelves to the customers. Of course they did not pay for any of the "presents" and many where arrested.
The cabaret focused on gender roles and it is said that many people where choked by the show!
Thanks for watching and please let me know if you have any questions.
