More info

Original exhibition poster from Louisiana Museum of Modern Art, Denmark.

The poster was made from a detail Takao Iijima (1931), better known by his art name Ay-O. This poster is a nice close-up of the larger artwork called "Rainbow Hokusai" which was created in 1970. The artwork is inspired by the Japanese "Shōwa period" corresponding to the reign of the Shōwa Emperor, Hirohito (1926-1989). However, this artwork is mainly inspired by the works of the Japanese artist Katsushika Hokusai (1760-1849). I urge you to look up the art of Hokusai to get the full history.

Overall a stylish and colorful poster which surely will get a lot of attention when placed on your wall.

Thanks for watching and please let me know if you have any questions.
