This poster really represents the 1980s in a chic punk style with a young lady wearing heavy make-up. Even her expression has that rebel/anti attitude.
I was not around in Poland in the 1980s but I find it remarkable that an artist from behind the Iron Curtain produced a poster that could be on the cover of any major Western fashion magazine. I mean this is the most positive way.
Anyways, the poster was actually made to encourage people to vistit "Wroclaw Days" - a festival in Wroclaw, Poland. I could not find information on how the festival was back in the 1983 but today the festival goes on for half a month and includes various outdoor events, concerts, exhibitions and music.
Please note: the poster was made to look weary and with discoloration.
Thanks for watching and please let me know if you have any questions.
