A really great lithographic vintage poster of one the most beautiful creatures on the planet.
The poster was made as an advertisement for a circus in Poland but the information on the poster is quite sparse. I believe the poster could be a part of CYRK posters which are certain style genre of poster.
The name "CYRK" means "circus" in Polish but it also refers to vintage circus posters from Poland, emerged from around 1962 as a genre of the Polish School of Posters. They are characterized by their display of aesthetic qualities such as painterly gestures, linear design, hand-lettering, metaphors, humor, and vibrant colors. This poster was created by the Polish artist Waldemar Świerzy (1931-2013) who was a member of the infamous CYRK group.
The CYRK posters are usually based on a single theme and meant to be advertisements and were created in an attempt to interest the passerby in the upcoming circus.
