Every year Tivoli (the world most famous amusement park in Copenhagen, Denmark), lets a new Danish artist design the poster art for the coming season. The artwork of the poster was created by Otto Nielsen who also made a lot of other SAS commercials during 1946-78 and a part of the decoration of JFK airport in NY. The posters are often abstract and colorful motives with animals or famous buildings on display.
The poster shows the famous Danish writer Hans Christian Andersen holding a birdcage and an umbrella symbolizing the fairy tale "The Nightingale" from 1843 which was written the same year as Tivoli was founded. In the lower part of the poster you can see the beautiful Tivoli pavilion which is one of the oldest buildings in the park.
