Every year Tivoli Gardens (or simply Tivoli) lets a Danish artist design the poster art for the coming season.
The poster is an advertisement for Tivoli and displays the "Tivoligarden" (The Tivoli Guard). The guards is aurally an orchestra founded in 1844 - who are parading and entertaining in the old park. Despite the name, the guards are only carrying instruments as "weapons" although they look a lot like the Danish Royal Life Guards.
The Tivoli Gardens is one of the world most famous amusement parks. The park is the second oldest amusement park in the world and is based in Copenhagen, Denmark and is by far the most visited spot in Scandinavia.
