A beautiful mid-century travel poster from Sweden advertising "Skansen" in Stockholm. Skansen in a the open-air museum which has old buildings and different animals from all over Sweden. It was founded back in 1891 by the charismatic army officer Artur Hazelius who also brought the rune stone (on the poster) to Skansen.

The stone which is known as "Uppland Runic Inscription 871" had been situated in Uppland (northen Sweden) since it was created in 871. Word has it that Artur brought the stone for 6 USD 1896 and placed in the Skansen where it still stands today.

Skansen (the Sconce) is the first open-air museum and zoo in Sweden and is located on the island Djurgården in Stockholm, Sweden. It was founded in 1891 by Artur Hazelius (1833–1901)
