Truly a 1980s poster design - very nice indeed!
The poster is a advertisement for Ellesse - an Italian sports apparel company from 1959 to the present. At the moment the brand experience a renaissance with their deep vintage sports style which is very much in fashion today.
The woman on the poster is Christine Marie Evert who played tennis in the period 1979-97. In the late 1970s and early 1980s, Evert belonged to the absolute world elite in women's tennis. She was ranked No. 1 1975-1977 and 1980-1981, a total of 262 weeks, bringing her to third place after Steffi Graf and Martina Navratilova. In 1995 Evert was inducted into the International Tennis Hall of Fame.
