A poster that reminds of the ancient Greek way to celebrate in wine!

The poster was made as an advertisement for the former FDB (the FDB logo is in the poster). Today FDB is known as Coop amba which is acronym for the Association for Danish Consumer Cooperatives) who owns quite a few supermarkets in Denmark. One of the supermarkets was called "Brugsen" (today "SuperBrugen") which is where this poster use to hang and inspire Danes to drink more wine.

Obviously the poster was made to promote wine in Denmark. But in the 1950s people in Denmark used to drink beers in abundance and wine was regarded as (too) sophisticated and expensive for many Danes. Since the 1950s the view and the use of wine has changed but then in the 1990s microbreweries entered the scene and the alcohol trend changed once again - now Danes prefer beer again. Maybe this could be the renaissance for this message of the poster.

Thanks for watching and please let me know if you have any questions.
