Step into a room filled with happy people parting with wine, cheese and cigarettes!
It quite obvious that the people are wearing the latest fashion from the 1970s.
The poster headliner says "Wine & Cheese" - "Happy people - Fun parties".
I believe the poster was made to promote wine and cheese in Denmark. In the 1970s people in Denmark used to drink beers in abundance and wine was regarded as (too) sophisticated and expensive for many Danes. There is a clear inspiration from France which is empathized on the poster by a man holding a baguette.
Since the 1970s the view and the use of wine has changed but then the microbrewery trend came and the alcohol trend changed once again - now Danes prefer beer again. Maybe this could be the renaissance for this message of the poster.
